Search Engine Optimization Specialist

About the role

Insights Marketing & Communication is seeking a full-time Search Engine Optimization Specialist to work on-site at our Srinagar office. The role involves independently managing SEO projects for multiple client websites and delivering measurable organic growth in a fast-paced agency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research, on-page optimisation and technical SEO audits.
• Develop and execute link-building and internal linking strategies.
• Analyse competitor performance and market trends.
• Monitor organic traffic, keyword rankings and search visibility using Google Search Console, Google Analytics and other SEO platforms.
• Identify technical, content and performance issues, recommend solutions and implement improvements.
• Prepare clear reports on SEO impact and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with content, design and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency or client‑servicing setting.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of SEO activities without constant supervision.
• Proven track record of improving keyword rankings, organic traffic or search visibility.
• On-site availability in Srinagar is mandatory.

Required skills

• Keyword research, on-page SEO and technical SEO.
• Conducting comprehensive SEO audits.
• Proficiency with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
• Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz).
• Understanding of crawlability, indexing, site architecture, page speed, mobile optimisation, redirects, canonicalisation and structured data.
