Search Engine Optimization Executive

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Search Engine Optimization Executive to boost organic traffic and AI-search visibility for SME Futures, the business‑insights arm of The Guild. Working closely with the editorial team, you will ensure our content reaches the right audience across search engines, answer engines and social platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement SEO strategies to increase organic traffic, improve keyword rankings and enhance website performance.
• Conduct keyword research, content optimisation, competitor analysis and technical SEO audits.
• Optimise content for Google Search, Google News, Google Discover, featured snippets and AI‑powered answer engines such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot.
• Build topical authority and E‑E‑A‑T signals by collaborating with editors on content clusters.
• Monitor performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush and provide regular reports with actionable recommendations.
• Manage and publish content on LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other platforms, creating social copy and distribution plans.
• Track audience growth, referral traffic and engagement metrics to inform future optimisation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing or audience growth.
• Strong understanding of on‑page, off‑page and technical SEO, including GEO and AI‑search concepts.
• Experience in digital publishing or media environments is a plus.
