Search Engine Optimization Analyst

About the role

Mentor Match is looking for a self‑driven SEO Analyst to own the entire organic growth function for its online tutoring platform. You will be the single point of responsibility for strategy, execution, content creation, and performance reporting, working closely with development and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular technical SEO audits (crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, structured data).
• Manage on‑page optimisation across service and landing pages and coordinate technical fixes with dev/design (schema markup, canonical tags, redirects, sitemap).
• Build and maintain a keyword‑driven content calendar targeting parent and student search intent.
• Research, write, and publish 4–6 SEO‑focused blog posts per month, from brief to publication.
• Optimise existing pages and blogs to improve rankings.
• Create comparison content (e.g., “MentorMatch vs Preply”).
• Perform keyword research for UAE, India, and US markets across multiple curricula.
• Track keyword rankings, traffic, and conversions; report weekly/monthly.
• Identify new content opportunities such as subject pages, location pages, and FAQ clusters.
• Execute basic link‑building outreach to edu sites, parenting blogs, and tutoring directories.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of hands‑on SEO experience (agency or in‑house, ed‑tech preferred).
• Strong English writing skills with the ability to produce publish‑ready blog content.
• Comfortable working independently without a dedicated content writer or SEO team.
• Understanding of international SEO (hreflang, multi‑region targeting) is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Ahrefs or SEMrush.
• Google Search Console.
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
• Screaming Frog.
• Experience with Webflow, WordPress, or similar CMS platforms.
