SDET Engineer – Automated Regression Testing

About the role

Bitwarden is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead the creation of automated regression tests for its web, browser‑extension, mobile, desktop, CLI and server products, ensuring high‑quality releases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using C# with Selenium and Appium across multiple platforms.
• Design scalable, reusable and maintainable test automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor their execution.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test scenarios and achieve comprehensive coverage.
• Execute tests, analyse results, report defects and performance issues.
• Review automation code to enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and document frameworks and processes.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of production test‑automation experience with strong C# proficiency.
• Proven ability to architect scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience embedding tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with mobile automation (Appium) and cloud device testing platforms.
• Background in SaaS, security or identity‑focused products.
• Experience working in distributed, global engineering teams.
• Hands‑on AI/ML experience beyond tooling.
