SCM Coordinator – Solar Project Management

About the role

The SCM Coordinator will manage the end‑to‑end supply chain for gigawatt‑scale solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) installations, ensuring materials arrive on time and are protected against harsh site conditions. The role bridges international manufacturing hubs, Indian ports, and remote project sites to prevent costly delays.

Key responsibilities

• Track and report logistics KPIs for manufacturing, inspection release, dispatch, transit, and delivery accuracy of modules, trackers, inverters, MV equipment, cables and balance‑of‑plant materials.
• Compare on‑site material requirements with approved delivery forecasts and adjust priorities accordingly.
• Coordinate logistics updates with EPC and vendor representatives, identifying shortages, damages or preservation risks.
• Maintain critical‑material alerts and expedite actions for solar package reviews.
• Provide delivery evidence to planning, QS and contract/procurement teams.
• Escalate unresolved supply constraints to the Solar Site Team Leader and PMO SCM governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or an Engineering discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive supply‑chain, logistics or material coordination experience in heavy infrastructure or energy sectors.
• 3–5 years of direct experience on utility‑scale renewable energy projects, preferably large‑scale solar (300 MW+).
• Strong site leadership, team coordination and problem‑solving under site constraints.
• Effective communication with multiple stakeholders and a high commitment to safety and quality.
