Science Writer – Manuscript to Video Script Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Science Writer to transform author‑submitted manuscripts into engaging voice‑over transcripts and video scripts for scientific protocol videos. You will work closely with researchers and production teams to ensure scientific accuracy and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Convert manuscripts into clear, accurate voice‑over transcripts and video scripts.
• Collaborate with authors to guide manuscripts through the video creation process.
• Proofread and review scripts for scientific accuracy, clarity, and error‑free content.
• Interpret scientific feedback and implement precise revisions.
• Utilize AI‑assisted writing and editing tools as part of the workflow.
• Review journal protocol videos for adherence to publication standards.
• Assess author feedback on draft videos and communicate revisions to the editing team.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict production timelines.
• Identify and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• PhD in biology, molecular biology, bioengineering, chemistry, or a related natural science discipline.
• 1‑3 years of experience in scientific communication, technical writing, or educational content creation.
• Strong scientific vocabulary and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, editing, and proofreading skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to spot scientific inaccuracies.
• Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and capacity to work under pressure.
• Enthusiasm for science and willingness to learn new research areas.
• Record of original research published in peer‑reviewed journals is strongly preferred.
