School Helper (Cleaning Support)

About the role

The School Helper provides general support to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position focuses on routine cleaning tasks across classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas within the school premises.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning duties to ensure the school's cleanliness standards are met.
• Maintain hygiene standards in classrooms, offices, restrooms, and shared spaces.
• Monitor and report on the status of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Collaborate with school staff to address specific cleaning needs and priorities.
• Identify and report any potential health, safety, or safeguarding concerns.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in cleaning, janitorial, or similar roles.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and operate cleaning equipment safely.
• Commitment to the school's safeguarding and health‑and‑safety policies.
