School Cleaning Helper (CBSE)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable School Cleaning Helper to maintain a clean and safe learning environment in a CBSE school. The role involves daily cleaning, restroom upkeep, surface disinfection and occasional deep‑cleaning tasks, primarily during breaks or after school hours.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum and polish floors; dust and wipe surfaces, furniture and fixtures.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks and replenish restroom supplies.
• Sanitize high‑touch areas such as door handles, light switches and handrails regularly.
• Perform scheduled deep‑cleaning tasks including carpet cleaning, window washing and floor stripping/waxing.
• Handle spills and accidents promptly and safely, and report maintenance issues.
• Use cleaning equipment correctly, monitor and restock supplies, and report any malfunctions.

Required profile

• No formal education required; basic literacy and numeracy are helpful.
• Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work, especially in schools or childcare settings, is preferred.
• Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently during off‑hours.

Required skills

• Operation of vacuums, floor scrubbers, mops and other cleaning tools.
• Safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals in accordance with health‑and‑safety protocols.
