Scheduling and Forecasting Lead

About the role

ACCIONA Energía is seeking a Scheduling and Forecasting Lead to oversee the accuracy of forecasting and scheduling for renewable assets in India. The role involves close coordination with regulatory agencies, internal teams, and market participants to optimise power dispatch and trading activities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor forecasting and scheduling accuracy of renewable assets and liaise with agencies.
• Provide regulatory updates and coordinate with central, state and nodal authorities.
• Manage DSM charge settlements, invoice processing and payments.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly performance analysis and MIS reporting.
• Develop day‑ahead and intraday power scheduling strategies and execute power trades in the Indian market.
• Analyse market trends, regulatory changes and transmission constraints to identify trading opportunities and risks.
• Prepare regular reports on trading activities, portfolio performance and market insights.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy or related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in technical roles related to maintenance and operation of renewable assets.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• SCADA systems.
• OPC communication protocols.
• Knowledge of substation and metering point equipment.
• Commercial understanding of power markets.
