Salesforce DevOps Engineer

About the role

Continental’s Data & Customer Solutions IT team is expanding its digital capabilities and seeks a Salesforce DevOps Engineer to design, build, deploy and support scalable Salesforce solutions. The role focuses on reliable CI/CD, release governance and deployment automation for the global CRM platform supporting sales and service operations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the DevOps and release strategy for a global Salesforce Sales & Service implementation.
• Design, develop and maintain solutions on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows and declarative configuration.
• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, Git and SFDX/sf CLI, including validation deploys and automated tests.
• Define environment and branching strategy, release governance, approvals and rollback/hot‑fix procedures.
• Support end‑to‑end delivery from technical design through testing, deployment and production stabilization.
• Troubleshoot deployment and application issues such as metadata dependencies, test failures and integration errors.
• Collaborate with architects, admins, business analysts and product teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification.
• Multiple years of experience in Salesforce development, DevOps or release engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows and Salesforce configuration.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git and SFDX.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce deployment concepts, metadata, environments and rollback procedures.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Familiarity with quality controls such as automated tests, static analysis and PR policies.
• Professional proficiency in English and willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.
