Sales Specialist – Food Service & HORECA

About the role

SourcePlum is looking for a dynamic Sales Specialist to drive new client acquisition and manage existing accounts within the Food Service and HORECA sector in India. You will work closely with founding members and a small team to expand the company’s curated product range across restaurants, hotels and catering outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and acquire new Food Service and HORECA clients through daily field visits.
• Maintain and grow existing accounts to secure repeat business and long‑term loyalty.
• Achieve monthly volume and revenue targets via product demos, menu integration and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate the full sales cycle, including order placement and delivery oversight.
• Monitor market pricing, stock levels and provide industry feedback.

Required profile

• Tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Hospitality, Management or Economics.
• 2‑4 years of experience in Hospitality sales or FMCG distribution.
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel for field visits.
• High energy, self‑starter attitude and comfort working independently in a startup environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with hospitality professionals.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce or Zoho.
• Experience using mobile sales applications for order and pipeline management.
• Ability to track pricing, stock levels and generate market insights.
