Sales Officer – FMCG & Personal Care (General Trade)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Officer to drive primary and secondary sales for our FMCG and personal care portfolio across General Trade outlets. You will be responsible for expanding market coverage, building strong distributor relationships, and ensuring product visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve primary and secondary sales targets for the assigned territory.
• Ensure effective distribution and shelf visibility across General Trade outlets.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, retailers, and key accounts.
• Execute merchandising, promotions, and schemes according to company guidelines.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage.
• Monitor competitor activities and provide market insights.
• Collect payments timely and adhere to credit policies.
• Track product availability and improve shelf presence.
• Lead new product launches in the territory.

Required profile

• 4‑11 years of experience in FMCG and personal care sales.
• Strong understanding of distribution management and retail execution.
• Good geographical knowledge of the assigned territory.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to analyse sales data and market trends.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRM software.
• Experience with sales analytics tools.
