Sales Officer – Agriculture & Agro-Chemicals

About the role

The Sales Officer will be based in Rajnandgaon and work in a hybrid arrangement, combining office work, field visits and occasional remote tasks. The role focuses on managing relationships with dealers, retailers and farmers, generating new leads, promoting agro‑chemical products and supporting the overall sales channel.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, responding promptly to inquiries.
• Generate leads, visit market areas and promote products to dealers and farmers.
• Coordinate channel sales activities with distributors and retailers.
• Plan and execute sales initiatives, track performance data and prepare regular reports.
• Provide market feedback to management and collaborate with internal teams for order processing and timely delivery.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the company’s growth objectives.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Experience in lead generation, sales operations and channel sales within the agricultural market.
• Good knowledge of agricultural products or willingness to learn agro‑chemicals and farming practices.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory and work in a hybrid setup.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and reporting tools.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business or a related field; relevant sales experience in agri or FMCG sectors is a plus.
