About the role
The Sales Manager – Rigids PU (Construction) will lead sales and marketing activities for the rigid polyurethane product line across the construction segment in the Mumbai region. You will be responsible for driving revenue, managing customer relationships, and ensuring timely receivables while supporting product development and market planning.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute sales strategies to meet volume, pricing, margin, and cost targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with specifiers such as architects, consultants, and designers in public and private organisations (e.g., RDSO, EIL, HPCL, ONGC).
- Generate sales potential through specification selling and by converting competitor specifications.
- Coordinate the full sales process and interface with other functions, including SCM, to manage raw‑material and finished‑goods inventory.
- Monitor and control local Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Days Inventory Value (DIV).
- Organise technical seminars and trade events to promote BASF solutions.
Required profile
- B.Tech. degree.
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience, preferably in construction or poly‑urethane markets.
- Proven ability to build long‑term business relationships with key accounts.
- Strong knowledge of construction specifications and system solutions.
