Sales Executive – Surgical Innovation

About the role

The Surgical Innovation Therapies portfolio at Medtronic delivers advanced solutions for stapling, energy, electrosurgery, wound closure and hernia care. As a Sales Executive you will drive growth across Goa and the coastal belt of Maharashtra, working remotely while travelling up to 30 % of the time to engage surgeons, hospitals and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve territory sales targets and product objectives for the Surgical Innovation portfolio.
• Promote and sell products through direct interaction with surgeons, operating‑theatre teams and hospital decision‑makers.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, medical associations and centres of excellence.
• Develop and execute territory and account plans to increase product adoption and market penetration.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance and other internal teams.
• Manage distributor relationships, ensure inventory coverage and compliance with company policies.
• Gather customer feedback on clinical needs and market trends and relay insights internally.

Required profile

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 4 + years of experience, or Associate’s Degree with 2 + years, or a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proven experience selling surgical or medical device products, preferably in stapling, energy, electrosurgery, wound closure or hernia care.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting and travel up to 30 % of the time.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with surgeons and hospital stakeholders.
