Sales Executive

About the role

Venus Plywood India Ltd. is seeking a motivated Sales Executive to drive growth of its plywood and block‑board product portfolio across assigned territories. Based in Chandigarh, you will work on‑site, engaging directly with distributors, retailers and project customers to expand market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop new leads in the assigned region.
• Meet distributors, retailers and project clients to present product features and benefits.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines, and follow up to close orders.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and provide after‑sales support.
• Visit market channels regularly, track competitor activities and report market insights.
• Maintain accurate sales reports and coordinate with internal teams for timely delivery.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and participate in promotional activities.
• Share market feedback to assist marketing and product development initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven sales, negotiation and business development abilities with a track record of meeting targets.
• Excellent customer relationship management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong market research and analytical capabilities to understand local dynamics.
• Knowledge of building materials, plywood or related construction products and ability to explain technical features.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, especially Microsoft Office.
• Relevant field‑sales experience in building materials, furniture, interior or construction sectors.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and travel within the territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field preferred; strong experience may substitute.
• Fluency in English and local languages with a professional, ethical sales approach.
