Sales Development Representative – India Public Sector

About the role

As a Sales Development Representative at Elastic, you will drive growth by engaging prospective public‑sector customers in India, understanding their challenges, and creating high‑quality opportunities for the sales pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives and Marketing to identify target accounts, run strategic campaigns, and generate pipeline.
• Prospect into India Public Sector accounts using phone, email, social selling, events and other outbound channels.
• Engage inbound and outbound prospects, ask insightful questions, uncover business challenges and qualify valuable opportunities.
• Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Demandbase, Sumble and AI‑powered platforms to research accounts and personalize outreach.
• Develop deep knowledge of the Elastic platform and AI solutions to articulate business value.
• Own your development through coaching, feedback and continuous enablement.

Required profile

• Sales or customer‑facing experience, preferably selling into India’s public sector (ministries, defence, healthcare, government agencies).
• Strong drive to succeed and a genuine desire to build a career in sales.
• Highly coachable mindset, actively seeking feedback and improvement.
• Curiosity about technology, customer challenges and business growth.
• Excellent communication skills across phone, email and LinkedIn.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
