Sales Compensation Manager – Lead AI‑Driven Commission Operations

About the role

The Sales Compensation Manager leads end‑to‑end commission administration for a large payee portfolio, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and SOX compliance. Operating with a 6–12 month horizon, you will embed AI‑driven automation into payroll submissions, exception handling and data validation, while mentoring a global analyst team.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle sales compensation administration, from participant setup to payroll submission, with 100% accuracy and audit readiness.
• Lead payroll submission for one or more GEOs, maintaining zero‑pay confirmations, audit checkpoints and SOX controls.
• Detect and hold anomalous payments using AI‑powered risk scoring, reducing over‑payment and exception cycle time.
• Validate data across Xactly, Salesforce, HRIS, Anaplan and other source‑of‑truth systems, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Drive the automation roadmap, deploying intelligent anomaly detection, AI‑assisted exception triage and LLM‑based validation workflows.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in sales compensation administration, payroll submission and SOX compliance.
• Proven program‑management skills for complex, cross‑functional projects and audit evidence creation.
• Deep understanding of SaaS go‑to‑market compensation models (quotas, accelerators, SPIFFs, MBOs).
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders across Sales Ops, Rev Ops, Payroll, HR, Legal and Finance without direct authority.
• Comfort with prompting and evaluating large language models to enhance operational efficiency.
