Safety Expert

About the role

Bosch is seeking an Automotive Functional Safety Expert to lead ISO 26262 compliance for electronic systems. You will develop safety concepts, perform hazard and risk analyses, and ensure that all safety requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full functional safety lifecycle, including HARA, functional safety concepts (FSC), and technical safety concepts (TSC).
• Perform and review safety analyses such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA/DFMEA/FMEDA).
• Create and maintain safety plans, safety case reports, and Development Interface Agreements (DIAs) with suppliers.
• Execute or support safety assessments, audits, and validation tests to verify compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to software and hardware teams on safety mechanisms, diagnostic coverage, and architectural requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.E.) or equivalent.
• 8‑12 years of experience in automotive functional safety and ISO 26262.
• Proven experience leading safety analyses and managing safety cases for electronic systems.
