Safety Executive – Aviation Operations

About the role

The Safety Executive (E1) will support the Safety Manager in maintaining safe, efficient and compliant day‑to‑day airport operations. Based in Delhi, the role acts as a bridge between operational teams and the Safety Department, promoting proactive safety behaviour and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor ramp and terminal areas to identify unsafe acts, conditions and SOP violations.
• Collect factual data on safety violations, hazards, accidents and near‑misses.
• Serve as the communication link between operations and the Safety Department.
• Participate in or lead incident investigations, including root‑cause analysis and CAPA recommendations.
• Ensure consistent reporting of accidents, incidents and near‑misses by operational teams.
• Report unsafe or abnormal events immediately to the Safety Officer/Manager.
• Support audits, inspections, toolbox talks and safety campaigns.
• Assist in SMS documentation, record‑keeping and compliance reporting.
• Facilitate emergency response exercises, drills and tabletop simulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognised university.
• Preferable safety certifications such as SMS, QMS, NEBOSH, IOSH, Industrial Safety or Aviation Safety.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Safety Management System (SMS) principles and aviation safety regulations.
