About the role
We are seeking a Rust Engineer to work at the intersection of software engineering, open-source development, and large language model (LLM) evaluation. You will help assess and improve LLM performance on real-world code-base issues.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and triage GitHub issues from trending open-source libraries.
- Set up and configure code repositories, including Dockerization and environment preparation.
- Evaluate unit-test coverage and overall test quality of the repositories.
- Modify and run codebases locally to measure LLM performance in bug-fixing scenarios.
- Collaborate with researchers to design challenging repositories and issues for LLM testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning.
Required profile
- 3+ years of hands-on Rust development experience.
- Strong proficiency with Git and Docker.
- Ability to understand and navigate complex codebases.
- Experience working with real-world open-source projects and troubleshooting locally.
Required skills
- Rust programming language.
- Git version control.
- Docker containerization.
- Debugging and testing of software.
