Ruby on Rails Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer who will own feature development from concept to production, ensuring high-quality, well-tested code. You will work on a platform that supports travelers, building scalable and maintainable web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver new features on time using Ruby on Rails.
• Write comprehensive automated tests for every feature.
• Continuously optimise code performance and explore the Rails source for deep understanding.
• Collaborate with the team to design database schemas, indexes, and constraints.
• Implement background processing with Sidekiq or Delayed Jobs.
• Develop robust RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.
• Maintain and improve in-memory data stores such as Redis or Memcache.

Required profile

• Strong ownership mindset and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
• Passion for learning new technologies and solving complex problems.
• Interest in travel and building tools that help fellow travelers.
• Persistence in digging into documentation and source code when needed.
