RTR Solution Architect

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned RTR Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of Record‑to‑Report (RTR) solutions across global finance transformations. You will ensure compliance with US GAAP, EU statutory/IFRS, and local GAAP while driving SAP finance initiatives such as Central Finance and S/4HANA conversions.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end RTR solution architecture for General Ledger, Asset Accounting, Financial Close, Intercompany, and Group/Statutory Reporting.
• Lead blueprint and fit‑gap workshops with US and EU finance stakeholders, aligning designs with GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Define integration architecture between FI/CO and upstream modules, as well as reporting and consolidation tools.
• Design global templates and localizations for statutory reporting, tax compliance, and chart‑of‑accounts harmonization.
• Review functional specifications to ensure architectural consistency, auditability, and compliance.
• Facilitate architecture review boards, resolve design conflicts, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Mentor RTR functional consultants and provide expertise on complex financial close and reporting issues.
• Collaborate with OTC, SCM, and technical architects to deliver an integrated financial solution.

Required profile

• 12+ years of SAP FI/CO experience with a focus on Record‑to‑Report, including 3‑4 full‑lifecycle implementations as architect or lead.
• Proven delivery of RTR solutions for US and EU entities, with deep knowledge of GAAP and statutory reporting.
• Hands‑on expertise in General Ledger, Asset Accounting, New GL, financial close, and multi‑currency/multi‑ledger design.
• Experience with S/4HANA Finance, Central Finance, and consolidation tools such as SAP Group Reporting or BPC.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to present to finance leadership across regions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or related field; CA/CPA/MBA is a plus.
