Revit Fire Services Draftsperson (Remote – Australian Projects)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Revit Fire Services Draftsperson to join our engineering team supporting Australian fire protection projects. This fully remote position works closely with Australian engineers, project managers, and BIM coordinators to deliver high‑quality BIM models, shop drawings, and coordinated documentation across various sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate 3D BIM models and detailed shop drawings for wet and dry fire protection systems using Autodesk Revit.
• Create coordinated drawings for sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, fire pumps, clean‑agent systems, water storage tanks, pipework, supports, and related equipment.
• Prepare installation, fabrication, and coordination drawings in line with Australian project standards and BIM requirements.
• Create, modify, and maintain Revit families for fire‑protection components.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, structural, and architectural disciplines to ensure clash‑free models.
• Perform clash detection using Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 and resolve issues.
• Review consultant drawings, architectural layouts, and services documentation for design accuracy.
• Update and maintain BIM models throughout all project phases, ensuring revisions are incorporated.
• Participate in virtual coordination meetings with Australian project teams.
• Maintain document control, drawing registers, and revision history.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, BIM or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of Revit drafting experience in fire protection or building services.
• Familiarity with Australian fire protection drafting standards is highly desirable.
• Experience working remotely with international engineering teams is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP).
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience creating and managing Revit families.
• Use of Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 for clash detection.
• Understanding of BIM workflows, Levels of Development (LOD) and multidisciplinary model coordination.
