Reservations Manager

About the role

The Reservations Manager leads the hotel’s reservation operations, ensuring smooth booking processes, optimal room inventory management, and maximum revenue generation. You will supervise a team, collaborate with sales and revenue teams, and guarantee an excellent guest experience from reservation to stay.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Reservations Department.
• Manage individual, group, corporate, and online reservations efficiently.
• Process reservations, cancellations, amendments, and special requests accurately.
• Monitor reservation accuracy, room availability, and booking controls.
• Maintain high standards of guest communication and service.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise the reservations team, providing coaching and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management and Sales to optimise rates, occupancy, and revenue.
• Manage reservation system operations, including updates, data integrity, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and deliver training programs for reservations staff.
• Generate and analyse reservation reports, occupancy metrics, and booking trends.
• Handle complex guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and other departments for seamless guest experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in hotel reservations, preferably with a reputable brand.
• Previous experience managing a reservations team is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of room inventory management and revenue optimisation.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS).
• Experience using Central Reservation Systems (CRS).
• Familiarity with channel managers.
• Knowledge of Online Travel Agency (OTA) platforms.
