Reliability Engineer – Engineering Technology Center

About the role

The Engineering Technology Center in Hyderabad is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support Lilly's global supply network. You will work on equipment, process and system reliability in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, ensuring that critical assets operate safely and efficiently for patients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze equipment, process and system failures to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain best‑practice guidelines for mechanical and electrical equipment reliability.
• Define engineering requirements for condition‑monitoring techniques such as vibration, temperature, thermography, motor‑current and ultrasonic technologies.
• Create and own maintenance execution plans and detailed work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive continuous improvement and reduce unplanned downtime.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in failure analysis and root‑cause investigation.
• Hands‑on knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Ability to develop and document technical procedures and maintenance strategies.
• Effective communication skills to work with global engineering and operations teams.
