About the role

The Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kalyani (IIIT Kalyani) is inviting applications for regular faculty positions across multiple disciplines. Candidates will join a vibrant research and teaching environment, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate programs while pursuing high‑impact research.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and labs for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• Guide and supervise student projects, theses and Ph.D. research.
• Develop and update curricula in line with emerging technologies.
• Conduct independent research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals and secure research funding.
• Collaborate with industry and research institutions for joint projects and technology transfer.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field.
• For Assistant Professor Grade‑II: Ph.D. with at least one SCI journal publication.
• For Assistant Professor Grade‑I: Ph.D. with 1 year post‑doctoral experience and two SCI publications or one patent.
• For Associate Professor: Minimum 6 years post‑Ph.D. experience (or 9 years total experience) with a strong research record, patents and supervision of Ph.D. students.
• Demonstrated teaching ability and a commitment to academic excellence.
