Registered Nurse – Mauritius

About the role

The position offers the opportunity to provide high‑quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a hospital setting in Mauritius. The role focuses on patient safety, clinical excellence, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in line with clinical standards and patient‑centered protocols.
• Administer medications safely, monitor patient progress, and recognise early signs of deterioration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient conditions, interventions, and care plans.
• Assist physicians during procedures and provide post‑procedure care and education to patients and families.
• Follow infection‑control and medication‑safety procedures, and implement fall‑prevention measures.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, patient rounds, and safety discussions.
• Support discharge planning, ensure timely patient discharge processing, and manage patient records in the hospital information system.
• Monitor stock levels of consumables and report equipment issues promptly.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in General Nursing.
• 0–2 years of experience in general nursing.
• Strong decision‑making, critical‑thinking, and communication abilities.
• Commitment to continuous learning and teamwork.

Required skills

• Computer Literacy for use of hospital information systems.
