Registered Nurse – Cardiothoracic Ward

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Cardiothoracic ward at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. As a Band 5 nurse you will provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to patients undergoing a range of thoracic procedures, supporting them throughout their surgical journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to patients on the Cardiothoracic ward.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Monitor patients before, during and after thoracic surgery, ensuring timely interventions.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to NHS standards of practice.
• Participate in ongoing education and training sessions provided by Clinical Educators.

Required profile

• Current, live UK NMC registration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Strong organisational skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, team‑oriented environment.
• Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
