Regional Sales Head – Mutual Funds (Chennai)

About the role

AlphaGrep Securities, a quantitative trading firm, is looking for an experienced Regional Head – Sales to lead its Mutual Fund business in Chennai. The role is strategic, focusing on driving AUM growth, expanding distribution networks and strengthening partner relationships across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own AUM, gross sales, net sales and SIP targets for the zone and develop regional sales strategies aligned with national goals.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with top distributors and key accounts, onboarding new high‑potential distributors and IFAs.
• Lead distributor engagement programmes, training sessions and product awareness initiatives, acting as escalation point for partner issues.
• Identify growth opportunities in under‑penetrated cities, promote SIP and solution‑based selling, and support launch of new products.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to refine sales strategy.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in mutual fund distribution with a strong focus on non‑institutional/retail channels.
• Proven ability to manage and train teams, including freshers and management trainees.
• Willingness to travel across a large territory and deep understanding of the regional market.
