Regional Director for International Student Recruitment

About the role

The Regional Director for International Student Recruitment will shape and execute the strategy to attract students from target markets worldwide. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines strategic planning, partnership development and team leadership to drive growth in a competitive higher‑education landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the international student recruitment strategy, translating vision into operational plans and monitoring performance against agreed targets.
• Create and lead recruitment initiatives to generate new business, identify emerging markets and sustain existing channels.
• Recruit, coordinate and monitor a network of agents and other channels supporting international recruitment activity.
• Build, manage and develop a regional team to achieve recruitment deliverables.
• Coordinate recruitment activities such as fairs and events, delivering integrated plans with clear targets and KPIs.
• Critically assess recruitment activities for value for money and investment returns, making improvements as needed.
• Identify emerging risks to recruitment targets and formulate mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing small, high‑performing teams in a fast‑moving environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute international student recruitment strategies.
• Experience establishing and cultivating B2B agency partnerships, relationships with schools, governments and other recruitment channels.
• Strong analytical skills to monitor performance, assess value for money and mitigate risks.
• Excellent communication skills with tact and diplomacy for stakeholder engagement.
