Regional Collections Manager – Senior Lending Collections

About the role

Paytm’s Collections & Credit Risk Recovery team is looking for a Regional Collections Manager to lead collections performance, portfolio health and recovery targets across a designated region. You will manage a team of Area Collection Managers, drive operational efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Own regional collection targets, minimise roll‑forwards and maintain portfolio yield across all delinquency buckets.
• Directly manage, mentor and review performance of Area Collection Managers through regular operational reviews.
• Plan capacity and allocate internal collection executives and external agencies based on workload distribution.
• Oversee onboarding, verification, audit and empanelment of third‑party collection agencies, defining fee and incentive structures.
• Identify skill gaps, drive compliance and soft‑skill training for managers, executives and vendor partners.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in debt collections, recovery operations or portfolio management within retail lending, FinTech, NBFC or banking, with 3–5 years in a regional leadership role.
• Graduate degree required; MBA or post‑graduation in Finance, Operations or Business Management preferred.
• Proven ability to lead multi‑tier teams, analyse collection metrics and navigate legal/regulatory frameworks.
