Reconciliations Officer – Senior Operations Analyst

About the role

ANZ is looking for a Senior Operations Analyst to lead the reconciliation of its Nostro and Suspense accounts. You will provide second‑level support to the Account Reconciliations teams, ensuring accurate financial reporting, risk mitigation, and efficient processes across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, resolve, and escalate reconciliation issues and unreconciled transactions for domestic and overseas business units within agreed service levels.
• Monitor ANZ’s Nostro and Suspense accounts, identifying abnormal items, overdrawn balances, aged transactions, and outstanding investigations.
• Analyse processes, coordinate testing, and implement system or process enhancements for the Reconciliation Control & Support function.
• Support governance activities including licensing controls, user access management, audit requirements, and DRP/BCP coordination.
• Produce high‑quality reports on reconciliation performance, account exceptions, interest claims, fund usage, back‑valuations, and interest justifications in line with policy.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders across Reconciliation Control, business units, and support teams to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in operations analysis or reconciliation within a banking environment.
• Proven ability to manage Nostro and Suspense accounts and handle complex financial investigations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
• Experience supporting governance, audit, and business continuity activities.
