Raw Material Procurement Manager – Chemicals

About the role

The role is responsible for coordinating and managing the end‑to‑end procurement of new and advanced chemical raw materials for value‑added product (VAP) plants. The incumbent will develop vendor strategies in international markets, ensure continuous supply, and support plant start‑ups.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for raw and packing materials, including sampling, testing, trial orders and long‑term contracts.
• Manage import clearance, customs documentation, and transportation of large‑volume commodities from ports to plants.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives across procurement, supply chain and logistics, preparing and implementing action plans.
• Execute purchase activities in strict accordance with SOPs, ensuring zero audit observations.

Required profile

• BE in Chemical Engineering and an MBA (mandatory).
• 5–6 years of experience, preferably as a subject‑matter expert in chemical raw material products.
