Quantity Surveyor Faculty (Full-time, On-site)

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor Faculty role at Zeitnah Academy is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Kozhikode. The faculty member will design and deliver lectures, workshops, and practical sessions covering quantity surveying, cost estimation, contracts and related civil engineering topics. The role also involves continuous curriculum improvement and active participation in the academy’s civil engineering community.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures, workshops and practical sessions on quantity surveying and related subjects.
• Prepare, update and maintain course materials to reflect current industry standards.
• Assess learner performance, provide constructive feedback and mentor students.
• Participate in curriculum development and collaborate with colleagues on academic initiatives.
• Contribute to seminars, events and other activities that strengthen the academy’s civil engineering community.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in quantity surveying, including measurement, cost estimation, budgeting and contract administration.
• Knowledge of civil engineering and construction project management principles.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, quantity take‑off software and basic CAD tools.
• Demonstrated teaching, training or mentoring experience with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Effective communication, classroom management and presentation skills with a learner‑centered approach.
• Ability to develop structured course content, assessment methods and learning materials aligned with industry practice.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a closely related field; professional certifications are a plus.
• Relevant industry experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management; prior academic experience is preferred.
• Commitment to continuous learning, ethical practice and collaboration within a multidisciplinary academic environment.
