Quantity Surveyor – Construction Projects

About the role

Kool Home Builders is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Kochi. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tender processes, and supporting cost control throughout civil and structural projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and pricing schedules for civil and structural works.
• Perform quantity take‑offs from tender and IFC drawings using AutoCAD and manual methods.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and subcontractors to clarify scope and resolve technical queries.
• Support the Civil Construction Manager in tender reviews, pricing strategy and final submission.
• Monitor project budgets, track variations, and assist with interim payment applications.
• Review contracts to identify commercial risks and support negotiations on variations and settlements.
• Maintain accurate records of measurements, variations, correspondence and approvals.
• Prepare cost reports, tender comparison statements and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Required profile

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quantity surveying, tendering and cost estimation for civil/structural projects.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Ability to work onsite in Kochi and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
