Quality Special Process Engineer

About the role

The Quality Special Process Engineer will lead the qualification and compliance of special manufacturing processes for aerospace and defence programs. You will act as the single point of contact for customers, ensuring that all quality requirements, test methods and inspection procedures are defined, reviewed and approved.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and finalize the scope of qualification for special processes.
• Review contractual documents, technical data sheets and determine applicable test and inspection methods.
• Develop and manage the Industrialisation (Qualification) Plan with relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with ME‑Special Process teams and customer technical focal points to resolve technical challenges.
• Lead technical manufacturing and test method audits with prime contractors for first‑time qualification.
• Prepare and submit industrial qualification dossiers and manage customer action plans.
• Oversee captive laboratory activities, including test method validation, capability expansion and periodic testing.
• Drive audit preparation, execution and acceptance in collaboration with customers.

Required profile

• Experience in aerospace or defence quality engineering, preferably with special processes.
• Strong understanding of qualification planning, test method development and laboratory management.
• Ability to interact with customers, prime contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Proactive approach to risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
