Quality Engineer

About the role

Safety Projects Pvt Ltd is looking for a detail‑oriented Quality Engineer to join its Umbergaon plant. The role will ensure that all incoming material, in‑process work and finished products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming material inspections and verify compliance with specifications.
• Carry out in‑process inspections during fabrication and manufacturing.
• Conduct welding inspections and monitor welding quality standards.
• Execute final inspections of finished products before dispatch.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCR records and CAPA documentation.
• Coordinate corrective actions with production teams.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for quality issues and support rejection‑reduction initiatives.
• Participate in process audits and recommend improvements to the quality system.

Required profile

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance/control within fabrication or manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Welding inspection knowledge.
• Proficiency with measuring instruments and inspection tools.
• Understanding of quality systems and documentation.
• Knowledge of fabrication tolerances and standards.
• Root‑cause analysis and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience with NCR and CAPA processes.
