Quality Engineer – Inspection & Process Control

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to lead incoming, in‑process and final inspections for extrusion and machining operations. You will ensure products meet all specifications and standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute inspections according to Control Plans using Vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, profile projector and CMM.
• Review drawings, specifications and CSR documents to verify compliance.
• Monitor SPC data, update process capability, and flag out‑of‑control or out‑of‑spec conditions.
• Perform layout, first‑piece, last‑piece and line‑clearance checks.
• Conduct MSA (GR&R) for critical gauges and maintain calibration records.
• Support PPAP/FAI dimensional inspections and documentation.
• Identify defects, segregate non‑conforming parts, raise NC reports and coordinate containment/rework.
• Assist customer complaint investigations with measurement data and evidence.
• Maintain 5S, safety, FOD and product handling standards.

Required profile

• 2–6 years of QA/QC experience in extrusion, machining, automotive or aerospace environments.
• Strong measurement and inspection expertise with GD&T interpretation.
• Knowledge of extrusion and machining defects, material flow and tolerance control.
• Understanding of SPC, MSA, Control Plans, PFMEA and PPAP/FAI processes.
• Basic familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and AS9100 requirements.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering.
