Quality Control Technician (Wet Lab)

About the role

Join TAPI’s laboratory team as a Quality Control Technician focused on wet‑lab analysis. You will work in a GMP/GXP environment, ensuring the quality of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) through precise testing and instrument maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform wet‑lab analysis and manage samples using LIMS and Trackwise.
• Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments such as pH meters, analytical balances, FTIR, Karl Fischer titrators, UV spectrophotometers, autotitrators, and muffle furnaces.
• Execute quality control tests including heavy metals analysis, residue on ignition, and sulphate ash determinations.
• Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and resolve day‑to‑day technical issues to keep the laboratory running smoothly.
• Monitor and document deviations, OOS/OOT results, and alert/action limits in compliance with GMP/GXP standards.
• Prepare clear inspection reports and communicate analytical results to internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience in API or pharmaceutical quality control.
• M.Sc. in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to work in GMP/GXP regulated environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with LIMS and Trackwise laboratory information systems.
• Hands‑on experience with pH meters, analytical balances, FTIR, Karl Fischer titrators, UV spectrophotometers, autotitrators, and muffle furnaces.
• Competence in heavy metals analysis, residue on ignition, and sulphate ash testing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for analytical instrumentation.
• Knowledge of GMP/GXP documentation and deviation handling.
