Quality Control Specialist II – AI & Cloud Solutions

About the role

Mastercam, part of the Sandvik Group, is looking for a Quality Control Specialist II to join the Mastercam Copilot team in Pune. The role embeds a QA representative within an Agile team developing AI‑powered, cloud‑connected solutions for manufacturing professionals, ensuring reliability, security and customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute exploratory, regression, integration and end‑to‑end tests for AI‑driven, cloud‑connected and desktop‑integrated workflows.
• Develop realistic customer scenarios by exploring manufacturing use cases, emerging technologies and real‑world usage patterns.
• Assess AI‑powered experiences for accuracy, usability, reliability and alignment with customer expectations, defining quality criteria for new capabilities.
• Evaluate security, privacy and data‑handling risks associated with cloud integration.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and UX teams to clarify requirements, identify risks and contribute to Agile planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4‑5+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance or application engineering, preferably with manufacturing software.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify risks and drive issues to resolution.
• Proven ability to work proactively in a collaborative Agile environment and communicate findings clearly.

Required skills

• Experience with Mastercam and CAD/CAM, CNC machining, digital manufacturing technologies.
• Testing of AI‑powered products, Copilot‑style experiences and conversational interfaces.
• Testing of web applications, APIs, cloud services and desktop‑to‑cloud integrations.
• Automated testing, scripting, CI/CD pipelines and modern quality engineering approaches.
• Knowledge of security, privacy, data‑retention and responsible data‑handling considerations.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent software quality training.
