Quality Control Specialist I – Digital Experience

About the role

Mastercam, part of Sandvik’s Intelligent Manufacturing division, is looking for a Quality Control Specialist I to test and verify changes across its customer‑facing web applications and e‑commerce solution. The role involves developing and executing test plans, building automated regression coverage, documenting defects and providing release sign‑off.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and execute test plans and cases for new features, enhancements and defect fixes.
• Establish and maintain a regression test suite covering critical application workflows.
• Create and maintain automated tests for high‑risk and frequently exercised paths, including transactional workflows.
• Perform cross‑browser, responsive and accessibility verification on customer‑facing changes.
• Document defects with sufficient detail for engineers to reproduce and resolve, verify fixes and provide release sign‑off.
• Collaborate with development teams during planning, contribute testability and risk perspectives, and communicate testing status and release risk to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in software quality control or quality assurance for web applications.
• Experience working in agile software development environments.
• Strong written communication skills, especially for defect reporting across time zones.
• Ability to establish quality processes where none currently exist.

Required skills

• Experience with browser automation frameworks for automated testing.
• API‑level testing and use of browser developer tools for issue diagnosis.
• Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Familiarity with cross‑browser, responsive and accessibility testing.
• Knowledge of AI‑enabled tools or automation to improve testing productivity.
