Quality Assurance & Control Manager – Food Manufacturing

About the role

The company seeks an experienced Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager to lead quality management across its food manufacturing plant in Lucknow. You will be responsible for product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, laboratory operations, audits and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end QA and QC activities, establishing standards for raw, in‑process and finished goods.
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP and other food safety regulations.
• Develop, maintain and audit SOPs, specifications, quality manuals and CAPA processes.
• Oversee raw material inspection, supplier quality, and coordinate supplier audits.
• Manage plant laboratory testing, calibration records and external lab coordination.
• Lead internal and external audits, drive corrective actions and monitor effectiveness.
• Investigate customer complaints, perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Lead, train and develop the QA/QC team, defining KPIs and fostering a strong quality culture.

Required profile

• 8–15 years of hands‑on QA/QC experience in food manufacturing or processing.
• B.Tech/M.Tech or M.Sc. in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry or related field; relevant certifications (HACCP, ISO, Food Safety) are a plus.
• Proven experience with FSSAI regulations, HACCP, GMP, SOPs, CAPA and audit management.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis abilities.
• Demonstrated team‑leadership and cross‑functional coordination skills.
