QSR Chef – Mumbai‑style Fast Food

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Chef to lead kitchen operations for a restaurant that specializes in Mumbai‑style fast food. The ideal candidate will combine hands‑on cooking expertise with strong leadership to ensure authentic flavours, consistent quality, and fast service during peak periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and supervise the preparation of Mumbai‑style street‑food items such as Vada Pav, Misal Pav, Pav Bhaji, and Bombay Sandwich.
• Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, presentation, and overall food quality.
• Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring timely order preparation during high‑traffic hours.
• Develop and maintain standard recipes, portion controls, and preparation procedures.
• Assist in menu development, new dish trials, and recipe research & development.
• Control inventory, monitor food wastage, and implement cost‑control measures.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, FIFO handling, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff, including cooks, helpers, and stewards.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in QSR, fast‑food, café, or restaurant operations.
• Hands‑on chef capable of personally managing the kitchen and maintaining authentic Mumbai‑style flavours.
• Proven ability to build and lead a disciplined, efficient QSR kitchen team.
