QA/QC Officer – Chemical Manufacturing

About the role

The QA/QC Officer will perform quality control testing for Lubrizol's Dahej plant, supporting the Quality Management System and driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute in‑process and finished‑goods sampling and analysis during rotational shifts.
• Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for analytical testing.
• Ensure proper operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Manage QA/QC documentation, data, and inspection records for raw materials, additives, and final products.
• Assist the QA/QC manager in ISO 9001 compliance and overall quality system implementation.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with service providers and maintain lab housekeeping.
• Collaborate with plant teams to meet site objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, preferably analytical chemistry.
• 2–6 years of experience in chemical or polymer industry, with hands‑on analytical and physical testing.
• Familiarity with batch operations and compounding of solid/powder materials.

Required skills

• Operation of IR spectrometer, general spectrometer, and X‑ray spectrometer.
• Analytical instrumentation knowledge and laboratory best practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office, SAP QA module, and statistical analysis tools.
