Python Developer – PLM (Intermediate)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Python developer to join our PLM team in Bengaluru. You will work on backend applications, customize Contact PLM solutions and enable seamless integration with enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Python‑based backend services.
• Build and expose RESTful APIs for system integration.
• Customize and configure Contact PLM modules.
• Integrate PLM with ERP, CAD and other enterprise platforms.
• Create automation scripts and data‑processing tools.
• Support data migration, system enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Participate in requirement analysis and technical design discussions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Product and QA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 5–7 years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Python (Django, Flask or FastAPI preferred)
• REST API development
• SQL databases (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Basic knowledge of NoSQL databases
• Object‑oriented programming (OOP)
• Experience with Contact PLM or similar PLM systems
• Enterprise system integration experience
• Git version control
• Basic CI/CD pipeline concepts
• Microservices architecture
• Debugging and troubleshooting
• Docker (preferred)
• Cloud basics (AWS or Azure, preferred)
• Agile/Scrum methodology (preferred)
