Python Backend Developer – Hybrid, Bangalore

About the role

We are looking for a Python Backend Developer to join our hybrid team in Bangalore. You will design, build and maintain backend services, APIs and data integrations for mission‑critical products serving multiple industries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend features such as reference data management, configuration surfaces, lookup and search services, and administrative functions.
• Design and implement REST APIs following established patterns for schemas, validation and error handling.
• Write and optimise SQL queries and manage database integration using ORM mapping, sessions and transactions.
• Create reference data loaders, validation routines and automated tests for delivered code.
• Develop operational scripts for reconciliation checks, back‑fills and test data generation.
• Investigate, reproduce and resolve defects within your code areas.

Required profile

• 1‑5 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
• Degree in MCA, B.E., B.Tech or MTech.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment in Bangalore.

Required skills

• Python (including async programming and type hints).
• REST API design and implementation.
• Web frameworks: FastAPI, Flask or Django.
• ORM tools, preferably SQLAlchemy.
• SQL and PostgreSQL database development.
• Git version control and code‑review workflows.
• Automated testing practices.
• Schema validation, message queues and scheduled jobs (desirable).
