Purchasing Manager – Infrastructure & Facility Management

About the role

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end sourcing, negotiation and procurement of products and services required for building infrastructure projects (MEP) and facility management. The role ensures optimal pricing, timely delivery and compliance with company policies and regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze technical and commercial aspects of MEP‑related products and services, identify potential vendors and negotiate best terms within budget.
• Review, approve and sign purchase orders according to authority limits, and manage procurement for infrastructure and revenue requests.
• Resolve escalations related to receipt, delivery and payment, coordinating with internal stakeholders to meet timelines.
• Research market trends, new technologies and alternative products to achieve cost savings and access to latest solutions.
• Approve and register vendors, maintain an up‑to‑date vendor pool, and monitor performance using SAP.
• Track vendor performance metrics, address complaints, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure customs and clearance procedures (STPI/SEZ) are followed for duty‑free imports in line with statutory regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or purchasing within construction, MEP or facility‑management environments.
• Strong understanding of vendor evaluation, contract negotiation and cost‑control processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance for imports and duty‑free clearance.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess technical specifications and commercial offers.
