Purchasing Executive

About the role

Everest Engineering Equipment Ltd. is seeking a proactive Purchasing Executive to manage vendor relationships and ensure uninterrupted material supply for its engineering and construction equipment manufacturing operations. The role involves strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and close collaboration with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard new vendors and suppliers to expand the vendor base.
• Obtain quotations, compare offers, and negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and service agreements.
• Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements in the ERP system.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Collaborate with Project, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to maintain uninterrupted material availability.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
• Report supplier disputes, commercial issues, and supply‑chain bottlenecks.
• Prepare and present procurement, cost‑saving, and management dashboard reports.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of procurement or purchasing experience in engineering, construction equipment, heavy equipment, or related manufacturing.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing, vendor development, supply‑chain operations, raw materials, tools, PPE, consumables, and stationery.
• Basic understanding of taxation, invoicing, logistics, and commercial terms.
• Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
