Purchasing Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and organized Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Malappuram. The role involves coordinating procurement activities, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that all materials required for business operations are available on time.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day purchasing and procurement activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and engage with suppliers and vendors.
• Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and track their status.
• Follow up with vendors on delivery schedules and resolve any issues.
• Maintain accurate purchase records, invoices, and related documentation.
• Support vendor negotiations and sustain strong supplier relationships.
• Monitor purchase prices, availability, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather purchasing requirements.
• Update procurement data in ERP/SAP systems and generate related reports.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the FMCG or food industry.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and pay close attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Working knowledge of ERP/SAP systems.
